As literacy educators, we know that fostering reading habits is an intentional and relentless endeavor. From convincing non-readers who "hate" to read to supporting kids who like it but aren't sure how to grow independently, our job is complex. We must empower students with knowledge for accessing diverse and interesting texts and provide the time for building a robust reading identity. In this session, two secondary teachers will offer strategies to get ALL kids excited about reading.
